While some may think the punchline is just about strange habits about warding against Fae, it's also touching in on my extreme paranoia that comes from talking about others due to the worry they will somehow be behind me. I could be on a bus in Canada talking about someone who I know 100% for a fact living in California but a part of my brain is "but what if they were somehow here? Behind me. Right now."
