Monty Python jokes are a bit more timeless but still also probably the low hanging fruit of jokes.That's the thing about comics and comedy...much like art a lot of your first forays are going to be very unpolished and unrefined and likely very lenient on the shoulders of others far funnier and more original that you are going to probably partially yoink from. Because you haven't had time to develop and build your own skills. So try not to beat yourself up too much if your first sketches are all of fanart and your first jokes are based on a joke you heard but 2 degrees removed.
You all gotta start somewhere.
